With the Mercedes B-Class, the car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz introduced a compact van to car enthusiasts in the summer of 2005. The first generation was offered under the product designation T 245 until 2011. The second generation (W246) then replaced its predecessor on the market. The van was enjoyed until 2018. The current and third generation was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2018 and has been available under the name Mercedes-Benz W247 since 2019.

The further development of the B-Class never came to a standstill. The current W247 model series is far more dynamic than its predecessors. After all, Mercedes gave even the third generation the nickname "Sports Tourer" for a reason.
The Mercedes B-Class is 9 centimetres longer and almost 5 centimetres flatter than the previous version. The B-Class W247 is based on a new front-wheel drive platform from Mercedes-Benz, whereas its predecessor models were based on the sandwich concept. At the same time, the third generation of the Mercedes B-Class impresses with driving comfort and interior variability. Passengers in the W247 model series now enjoy more space thanks to the 14cm sliding rear seat bench and an increase in interior width. This results in both more legroom and a larger luggage compartment. Overall, B-Class customers appreciate the good overview, the comfortable access and the raised seating position.
