The Mercedes EQS, internal type designation V297, is an electrically powered luxury class sedan from the car manufacturer Mercedes Benz. The EQS belongs to the Mercedes EQ brand and is produced at the Mercedes plant in Sindelfingen. In 2021, the Mercedes EQS was presented for the first time and was available at car dealers from September of the same year. With the EQS, Mercedes Benz wants to take the lead in the luxury sedan segment to compete against the Porsche Taycan, Audi e-Tron GT and Tesla.
